Here is an overview about the different production variations of Curta Type I and II.
The information is collected from different web sources.

Variations of Curta Type I

Variations of Curta Type II

I'm not sure about the different canisters... they have no direct relation to the serial numbers, so there is only an estimation possible.
The list is a work in progress - so I would be glad to get your comments and suggestions Exclamation

Not sure how I missed this post. Very cool. What do the numbers mean in the boxes? 968 known samples? but what is 901?

wait I think I got it those are serial numbers. In the () is the serial number of the one with that feature closest to start or end number.

Really cool, love the pics so its clear.

VERY WELL DONE SIR>

Any further suggestions are welcome...

Hi Richard!
I have been cleaning my collection and found a variation that you could include between 1 and 2.
My 3198 has "Curta" apostrophe like your 2 var. but it has also numbers in the upper ring. If you need pics I coul try to take some good pictures.
