As most of you know, there are two popular simulators,

the first one by Jan Meyer:

http://www.curta.de/kr34/curta_simulator_en.htm

and the second one by Pat Belford:

http://www.patbelford.com/projects/curta/index.html

Has anyone else noticed that there seem display and logic problems with the Belford simulator. Try this simple exercise. With the simulator in the ready position, set the setting register to "1" and the handle to the up or subtract position. Turn the crank and see what you get?!?!

Now return the operating handle to the down or add position. Turn the crank. Wow?!?!

Wow, this simulator shows really amazing results.
Hope that my own Curta does not the same Smile

Another bug of the Belford simulator: the revolution counter always counts in a positive way no matter you make positive or negative turns.

If Mr. Belford knows about these bugs??

Those interested may look at

https://www.cailliau.org/en/Alphabetical/C/Computing/Curta/Simulator/

This is entirely in SVG and JavaScript; il loads no plugins, it contains no images and it should be completely adhering to W3C standards.
It is already in its final place on my site, but I have not yet made links to it, so there is not yet a way to find it other than using the above link.

I have corresponded with Jan Meyer who has already submitted constructive appreciation which I have incorporated. Hope you enjoy it.

The text will be tweaked as necessary.
It does not yet work on tablets and smartphones, but that may come.

Nice looking (and working) Curta Simulator!

Two small points:
- If I click on the link a page is shown with "welcome to our little cloud" - to start the simulator I have to close the site - and then clicking again...

- And the graphics of the simulator is too large, so it will not be displayed entirely.

(MAC OS, Firefox)

This looks great, Robert! I've added it to the home page, and removed teh ancient VRML one.
