Curta as a giveaway
Some rare Curtas are around which are used by different companies as a giveaway...
Maybe you have seen the Quick Curta (late Type I - Quick was German illustrated magazine) or this one:
[ COMPLIMENTS - GAYNOR & CO - no "CURTA" engraved on the canister ... ]
Based on my knowledge (information from the seller and from "The CURTA Collectors and Registry Page") Gaynor & Co was company related to the petroleum industry (around 1957)
- any more information?
- other samples of Curtas used as a giveaway? _________________ :: m u r f f

Well I'm checking the public offers from time to time - this was published first at EB, was able to buy it directly from seller.
Gaynor & Co., Inc. could also have been a PR / advertising agency in New York. There are some hints around year 1955...

As I know, these QUICK Curtas are from the late 1970s series - at that time QUICK was a well-known German illustrated magazine.
They pop up from time to time, so I'm guessing maybe a quantity of 20 to 50 were made.
