I sent off my CURTA (Type II) to Romano Manaresi in Italy, back on July 19, 2022 and I received it back on August 22, 2022, after the repair and cleaning that was required.

I cannot praise Romano highly enough for what he has done for me. As I had the CURTA in hand for a while prior to realizing that it definitely needed service from someone who knows what he is doing with CURTAs, I can tell you that the operation of my CURTA is wonderfully different like night and day. The best way to describe it is that my CURTA feels like it is brand new right from the factory! It is so excellent to have this 60-odd year old machine functioning so well as this.

I am writing this as a testament to the excellent work performed by Romano for me. It was absolutely worth every dollar/euro that I spent. If there ever is anyone else that is wondering about sending their CURTA off to Romano, especially from the USA, please refer them to me or quote me about this. Romano’s work is superb, and I could not be any happier with the results.

Thanks for listening. I hope this feedback might help someone else who may have doubts to go ahead and send their CURTA to Romano. The results are wonderful beyond description.
