Murff, I'm new to the Curta world. How does the condition of the one on ebay now compare to the one that sold a few years ago?

Hi

It's a difficult question...

The Curta 26197 was not (or as described: was never) working. The visual state was nice. All demo parts were complete (except two missing steel balls in the carriage).
The demo box was sold for EUR 6,407

About the Curta 26563 no statement is done about the working state. The visual state is a bit dusty. One setting shaft/knob and a transmission shaft is missing, the spider spring of the carriage is slightly bent (missing steel balls?)...
The cosmetic state of the green box is OK.

So it's one of ***29*** known genuine demo Curtas from Contina (no fake, no selfmade cut away thing...). In any case this is a high value collectors item Exclamation

After a deep cleaning and some maintenance this box is similar to the other boxes.
