This is the oldest known drawing of the Curta, but the name was still CONTINA.
The date is 12 September 1947.

The setting knobs were round.

A photo from the design office dated 16 March 1949 shows that the calculating machine was still labelled CONTINA. The name was changed to CURTA in March or April 1949.
