Hey folks, a Curta II (557 610) chose me as it's owner on ebay last week... After ogling them for some time, I finally pulled the trigger. I'm trying to determine if it's my inexperience or if I need to email a repairman. When I put 1 in the settings register and do a single addition rotation, my counting register reads 00010001. Counts on the rightmost 4 digits, appear to also show in the leftmost 4 digits. Based on my very shaky highschool german, it seems like there might be a problem with the carry lever on the counting register. Thoughts?
