Hello!!

I've recently caught the Curta bug and have intentionally purchased two "broken/non working" Curtas to force myself to take them apart to clean/fix/understand the mechanism.

I'm having trouble finding a drawing that shows the dimensions of the standoff inside the lid (mine was completely missing) so I can recreate the part as close to factory spec as possible. Would anyone have something that shows this detail? Or would someone mind taking a quick measurement off their lid (preferably with calipers.....but anything would help) ????

Oh - my type 1 was made in 1961 and it seems that the metal case is correct (although I might not yet understand subtle differences)

Thanks in advance!

(also - some great info on this board.....I've been digging through posts over the past month)

Here is the original drawing of the Haltezapfen 10132

I also had a missing Haltezapfen, so I recently used the drawing - my son made this part for me in the 3D printer. Fits perfectly and is indistinguishable from the original.

Thanks! I'm now realizing I probably had that drawing in the zip file of documents from your site and didn't understand what I was looking at.

Thank you - I need to work on my German.....

I have the same problem with a container

Where is your site's document zip file located?

Was the 3D printing in plastic or metal?
