|
|
Hello Curta community,
I am new to this forum. I have a Curta I and II.
My question is not about the Curta itself, but about the cans. More specifically, the color.
My question: Was the can painted back then, or are they anodized like the Curta itself?
Thanks and regards

Curta canisters are made of aluminum and anodized black. Since they are polished, they look like a lacquer finish. This surface is resistant to solvents and relatively scratch-resistant and robust.
The first canisters (1949) were partially matt anodized.
There are several versions:
Curta Type 1
Curta Type 2
