So I have successfully passed the Curta bug to a coworker and while the two of us have been looking for cheap/broken versions that would be affordable....we found this one on Ebay with a broken handle.

This started us thinking about attempting to recreate the handle with CNC equipment that we have access to. We will need to experiment to see if we can get the surface looking correct but I'm wondering if anyone here has attempted this before? Do these handles break frequently? Clearly the smart thing to do (if we are capable of figuring this out) is to make a limited run and then try to sell the extras to recoup some of the cost. I'm just not sure if there's a huge market for this part.

Any thoughts?
